The Company

IO Communications was formed initially in 2005 to provide a suite of marketing consultancy services to technology-based businesses. Working with and through a number of delivery partners I provided research, messaging development, branding, strategic marketing advice and PR to a range of organisations large and small. Direct clients included Martin Dawes Systems and Penrillian.

In 2008 the business was rebranded as The Lever with a digital marketing proposition developed to combine PR-style content creation with the measurable lead-delivery of the web. Intelligent, Content-Driven Marketing (ICDM) quickly proved popular and the business attracted a selection of clients outside the tech space, including addiction charity ADS and Kendal College. Just one year after launch the business was swallowed up by successful local creative agency And Partners and rebranded as AND Digital.

The new business grew rapidly to seven staff, completing work for brands such as Iceland Foods, De Vere Hotels, Manchester United, the Church of England, Contour Housing and Edenred. It continues successfully today.

In January 2010, I decided I wanted variety in my life again and relaunched IO Communications as a vehicle for consultancy and new projects. Today I am again providing consultancy services to businesses in the tech sector, and now also advising other businesses on leveraging digital tools.
